Let's see if Aqil in the first photo will look like Abang as in the second photo... In 3 years time.
This was taken at a school I used to go to during prize presentation. Lawa beg babu? hehehehe Hari Raya THREE years ago... This was taken on the morning of the first day of Hari Raya 2006. I miss how Babu would wake the three of us up "marah-marah" because we are all sleepy heads and payah kan bangun, while Bapa and the boys were at the mosque sembahyang hari raya. Babu punya technique: "bangun tah!!! pukul 9 sudah ni!!!!". Padahal baru pukul 7 pagi. But it always worked. I always dashed to the bathroom to mandi pasal takut kana marahi. Hehe.
Another thing I miss, hearing takbir hari raya blaring from the radio in the kitchen in the morning. Last year, I listened to the takbir on the eve of hari raya in Nottingham at a gathering. It was the saddest and loneliest Hari Raya ever. And then the next morning, I had kueh raya for breakfast in my room while listening to M Nasir Hari Raya songs on my computer, before I went off for my lectures for the first time since I got to Nottingham. Sedih jua lah.
By the way, apparently, these pictures are also from back in the day when LBJ didn't know how to wear "konteks len" yet????
Me & MMHJ during Raya FOUR years ago. Look at him, so small. Hoho.
Nyaman! I used Tesco's Seafood pack containing prawn, mussel and squid as the "sapak" of the mee. We all ended up emptying the wok!
And then we got bored so we decided to walk to Hyperama, a huge store that sells cheap things in bulk and also sell Asian stuff. It takes about 15-20 mins to walk there but we have to lalu under a tunnel, cross big roads etc to get there, which is why we don't go there everyday! Due to financial constraints, we didn't buy anything in bulk! We just satisfied our cravings for little Asian stuff. I ended up buying 3 tins of Pearl Milk Tea (it's more jelly-ish than pearly), 4 tins of coconut juice (rasanya kan sama mcm air piasau di gerai), two packets of stir-fry noodles and a small box of frozen prawns (it says it's imported from Thailand, inda brapa fresh??). I got all under 10 pounds!! Hoho, so cheap. Although in Brunei, I could've easily bought the stuff for 10BND or something!
I wanted to buy rice but because we planned to walk home instead of taking a taxi (save duit bah), it wouldn't be easy to bring it home as Hyperama only sells rice 5kg and above. I have been rice-less for 1.5 weeks now! I'm too malas to take the bus to buy rice (the nearby kadai runcit only sells yucky rice) so lately my diet has been consisting of pasta (seafood pasta, mushroom pasta) and mee goreng (including indomie heheh)! I'll stock up on rice next week, after my allowance comes out hehehe.
Tonight, I had mee goreng for dinner too! Because earlier, we boiled too much noodles so I refrigerated the leftover. So I fried some for my dinner. I like it better this time than the first time. Because I put in kicap masin in addition to kicap manis. The first batch of mee goreng was a bit sweet. Just one problem, I put in too much oil. Oops.
Okay then, let me leave you with this photo:

Aqil the cry baby..... kan tidur pun nangis. Macam tah inda kena suruh tidur, he, he..... Tidur lah Aqil.... tidur lah sayang, c manja berabis!!!!
It was sooooooo much fun!
We had 7 rounds. I played 5 because there was more than enough players in our team so we had to rotate for everyone to play a fair number of games. We won 2 games and lost 5!!! But some of the losses were due to unfair stuff. In this one round, all the marshalls thought our opponents grabbed the flag first when it really was my team mate, who lost hold of the flag in the course of the game. Skali in this other round, one of my team mates' punya gun shot blanks because the gun stopped working so he became easy target. Oh well!
I did great in round 2 hehehe because I grabbed the flag, dropped my heavy gun and ran to the base with the flag so the marshall could say "game over!!!". Wohoo!
In the last game, I got shot in the face. As you can see from the above picture, we wore protective masks. But when the pallette hit the lower part of my mask in the last game, I guess it burst into tiny particles, went through the holes of the mask and cut my lips. It hurt a lot and I could taste the mixture of paint and blood in my mouth so I surrendered. Padahal inda jua berapa sakit akhirnya so I could've actually stayed in the game hahaha.
In the end, we got the 10th place out of 14 teams. We're not very proud of that but it was all in good fun!
I came home with bruises on my left thigh and shoulder. Tapi sanggup lagi liat Confessions of a Shopaholic di Cornerhouse sama Fathin and Aisyah malam atu.
Okay that's all! Sorry no pictures of the gun because I had to leave my camera behind for battles!
Tonight I have to go to Portland Building as we have another meeting (according to) regarding the Easter Games. I'm excited to announce to everyone that I've raised a massive amount of money for the event. Because this morning, I got another email from another organisation who is interested to fund it. Credit also goes to Bapa, of course.
Okay, that is all. Kan masak corned beef ku.
Taken after satisfying our cravings for milo shake at 1AM
Here's a random picture of my room, lawa bedspread ku? :D Also, note my pretty red Long Champ! Hoho.
Anyway, today Fathin and I went out to the city. I wanted to exchange LBJ's gladiator sandals for a smaller size at Topshop and also return her jeans because it was too small on me and obviously too small for her too (because she has a bigger tush). Btw, LBJ, I bought the jeans for 20 pounds. Then when I wanted to buy the bigger sized ones, there was a further 50% reduction so jadi 10 pounds saja. So I returned the 20 pound ones and bought the 10 pound ones. Hoho, profit!!!
Lapas atu we went back to my house to make roti john (with minced "meat" made of soya) and ikan salai. Actually it was fried mackerel. It just tasted like ikan salai.
Btw, I received these today!
Hoho, look at my roses. As tall as the washing machine!
Ok, til next time...
Please post more pics of Baby Aqil.
