Hello, I am missing home very much so I went through folders in my laptop to look at old pictures of the family. Here are a few random pictures when we were younger... when Bapa hadn't been posted to Belait, before Kaka and Abang got married and before I went off to Nottingham. Basically, these pictures were taken back in the days when we were all living under the same roof. Oh, also, when Baby Aqil wasn't around yet. So these pictures are also for Baby Aqil, to show what he missed out on... Hehehe.

This was taken at a school I used to go to during prize presentation. Lawa beg babu? hehehehe

Hari Raya THREE years ago... This was taken on the morning of the first day of Hari Raya 2006. I miss how Babu would wake the three of us up "marah-marah" because we are all sleepy heads and payah kan bangun, while Bapa and the boys were at the mosque sembahyang hari raya. Babu punya technique: "bangun tah!!! pukul 9 sudah ni!!!!". Padahal baru pukul 7 pagi. But it always worked. I always dashed to the bathroom to mandi pasal takut kana marahi. Hehe.

Another thing I miss, hearing takbir hari raya blaring from the radio in the kitchen in the morning. Last year, I listened to the takbir on the eve of hari raya in Nottingham at a gathering. It was the saddest and loneliest Hari Raya ever. And then the next morning, I had kueh raya for breakfast in my room while listening to M Nasir Hari Raya songs on my computer, before I went off for my lectures for the first time since I got to Nottingham. Sedih jua lah.

By the way, apparently, these pictures are also from back in the day when LBJ didn't know how to wear "konteks len" yet????

Me & MMHJ during Raya FOUR years ago. Look at him, so small. Hoho.

By the way, look at this. This was taken in a bus in London 5 years ago! Okay bye.

Happening jua life Babu atu! Macam-macam activity Babu dalam sehari.
Today I invited Aisyah and Fathin over to make mee goreng with me. Apparently, the packets of mee I had wasn't mee hoon but tai tong. Oops! I need to brush up on my noodles knowledge. I used Babu's recipe anyway hehehe. Here's a picture:

Nyaman! I used Tesco's Seafood pack containing prawn, mussel and squid as the "sapak" of the mee. We all ended up emptying the wok!

And then we got bored so we decided to walk to Hyperama, a huge store that sells cheap things in bulk and also sell Asian stuff. It takes about 15-20 mins to walk there but we have to lalu under a tunnel, cross big roads etc to get there, which is why we don't go there everyday! Due to financial constraints, we didn't buy anything in bulk! We just satisfied our cravings for little Asian stuff. I ended up buying 3 tins of Pearl Milk Tea (it's more jelly-ish than pearly), 4 tins of coconut juice (rasanya kan sama mcm air piasau di gerai), two packets of stir-fry noodles and a small box of frozen prawns (it says it's imported from Thailand, inda brapa fresh??). I got all under 10 pounds!! Hoho, so cheap. Although in Brunei, I could've easily bought the stuff for 10BND or something!

I wanted to buy rice but because we planned to walk home instead of taking a taxi (save duit bah), it wouldn't be easy to bring it home as Hyperama only sells rice 5kg and above. I have been rice-less for 1.5 weeks now! I'm too malas to take the bus to buy rice (the nearby kadai runcit only sells yucky rice) so lately my diet has been consisting of pasta (seafood pasta, mushroom pasta) and mee goreng (including indomie heheh)! I'll stock up on rice next week, after my allowance comes out hehehe.

Tonight, I had mee goreng for dinner too! Because earlier, we boiled too much noodles so I refrigerated the leftover. So I fried some for my dinner. I like it better this time than the first time. Because I put in kicap masin in addition to kicap manis. The first batch of mee goreng was a bit sweet. Just one problem, I put in too much oil. Oops.

Okay then, let me leave you with this photo:

This is especially for Abg Rinan, who is sad that the Adidas Liverpool jersey that he ordered and delivered to my address is too small for him (krg mcm baju gay?). It is actually in my size so now it is mine! Muahaha, I look cool.

Hari ani......... babu ngaleh........... mula-mula terakhir bangun... 6.30 am. Babu ada class to observe di SR Rimba 2 at 7.30 am. So laju-laju jalan.... tumpangkan Afan arah Faiz sothat babu can save a few minutes. Dropped Jilah di MS and managed to reach Rimba at 7.28 am.... CT menunggu udah......... Back to UBD, buat keraja kajap.... Then to ICC to attend the SOAS Memorial lecture by Minister Menthor of Singapore, Dato Seri Utama Mr Lee Kuan Yu but before that singgah ke Ken Travel to collect ticket maid. She will chow this Sunday.... Minum at De Fountain, just opposite Ken Travel with RMS, ordered a plate of nasi goreng but since it was too yummy and we were real hungry, ordered a second plate. Yupp!!! habis... At ICC managed to park di atas using bapa punya parking pass. The event started at about 11.20 am with the arrival of the Crown Prince and the speaker. Then back to UBD as babu with RMS had our in-service calss at 2pm but lapar lagi.... coz parut RMS bebunyi beberapa kali masa dengar memorial lecture, huhu...."lunch hour". To UBD taman selera... ordered a plate of Pad Thai kurang pedas. The cook said long Q of Pad Thai order but we said "cut the Q!!!" ha, ha.... biasa!! and he did obey! Managed to have a good lunch with ice lemon tea... rushed to office, collected teaching material and off we went to teach. Finished at about 4pm..... buat keraja lagi.... baca emails and so on. Left office around 4.45 pm... singgah ambil sate di Mentiri untuk antar Masjid Setia Ali, Muara... as today is bapa punya giliran to bawa food for majlis Dikir maulud (Today is the start of maulud... 1 Rabiul Awal). Immediately after magrib... babu with Afan went to fetch Jilah from her Physics tuition at Lambak, off to Kiulap to buy Aqil's unggak coz this Sunday Aqil will be forever in Serasa (Yay!!!!!!!!!!). Went to Hua Ho, beli a few stuff including cotton wool for nini. Dropped Jilah and Afan at home and babu jalan lagi to rumah Ketua Kampong for the majlis Dikir Maulud. Aunty Nab was there too. Babu alum berapa pandai berdikir but babu pura-pura pandai.... and continuously buka mulut berdikir, he, he..... Back home at 10.30 kan liat Tv3 Rozzana but TV3 tergulanda till now..... 11.00 pm....while nunggu Tv3 ok, babu update this blog. Twenty five years later.......... on 23 February 2009 (Monday)

We started the day very early. Woke up at 5 am and banguni bapa, Afan and Faiz. The boys had to be in school by 7 am and to be transported to the stadium by bus. Bapa sasak (he, he.... as usual) because traffic jam kan masuk stadium. After much hurdle and the illegal taking over, we managed to reach the stadium around 7 am. Bapa joined his group for the baris next to the De Anggerek Apartment while babu got seated arah jemutan but sorang-sorang. Our seat numbers were 120 and 121. Initially it was a cool morning but as time reached 9 am... adui... panas tia and since most of the upper seats were still vacant, most of us the front seaters moved up coz it was more shady there. The processions started at around 9.30am with Abang Munir led the Oath readers group. Wow!!!! siuk eh.... abang Munir baca Ikrar ah.... with semangat, loud and clear.... sampai the lady seated next to babu atu was emotional and broke her tears..... (for a reason that she shared with babu....). Then came bapa punya team bebaris which cousins said bapa lamah..... (inda jua........). Afan took part in the field performance, he was in the created giant kris and the gangsa. He really enjoyed the excitement in the show coz that was his first experience taking part in the ND activities coz masa di private schools inda pernah kena bawa.

Babu still remember the first ND in Feb 1984. Babu was in charge of my SMJA students doing the flash cards performance and bapa was on duty jua. At that time it was only kaka (still siblingless.......). Life at that time was with no maid... So when bapa and babu were on duty, it was nini laki Muara yang baby sit kaka (including beri makan and cuci after poopoo... yuck!!). Sekali apa nah.... when babu reached home after the event, kaka was already fed by nini and salin baju.... but babu couldn't help laughing when babu saw how nini fixed baju kaka..... tebalik..... the micky mouse cartoon design was di belakang and the dress buttons were infront. Sian kaka.... pakai baju tebalik. Any way... that was a good deed given by nini laki Muara to babu or other wise kaka had to be sent to nini angah's house in Manggis.

Ok... back to 23 Feb 2009.... after the ND events at the stadium... rehat kajap... and at 1.30pm bapa jalan lagi to attend the Brunei sate Guiness Book of Record for the most banyak sate produced at one time (some 75000 cucuk from 1184 kg ayam, i.e 800 chickens). The function was held at JPPC. So bapa attended to collect on behalf of the anak yatim and fakir miskin from KB. Babu went to fetch Jilah from Hanis's house in Jerudong, went to Giant kajap but there was an incident happened (only Jilah and babu knew....), then went to see the cry baby Aqil at Rimba, went to see nini at RIPAS before dropping Jilah for her Chem tuition lagi. While nunggu Jilah, babu went to Jame for the Asar and Magrib prayers and dropped by the pasar malam to buy the Gerai 62 pulut panggang and bapa and Izyan's favourite... kueh Malaya... (sia-sia pun Izyan).

Ok.... that's all the update for today and enjoy the ND photos below.... taken from Brunei Infofoto Gallery.

Aqil the cry baby..... kan tidur pun nangis. Macam tah inda kena suruh tidur, he, he..... Tidur lah Aqil.... tidur lah sayang, c manja berabis!!!!

It was sooooooo much fun!

We had 7 rounds. I played 5 because there was more than enough players in our team so we had to rotate for everyone to play a fair number of games. We won 2 games and lost 5!!! But some of the losses were due to unfair stuff. In this one round, all the marshalls thought our opponents grabbed the flag first when it really was my team mate, who lost hold of the flag in the course of the game. Skali in this other round, one of my team mates' punya gun shot blanks because the gun stopped working so he became easy target. Oh well!

I did great in round 2 hehehe because I grabbed the flag, dropped my heavy gun and ran to the base with the flag so the marshall could say "game over!!!". Wohoo!

In the last game, I got shot in the face. As you can see from the above picture, we wore protective masks. But when the pallette hit the lower part of my mask in the last game, I guess it burst into tiny particles, went through the holes of the mask and cut my lips. It hurt a lot and I could taste the mixture of paint and blood in my mouth so I surrendered. Padahal inda jua berapa sakit akhirnya so I could've actually stayed in the game hahaha.

In the end, we got the 10th place out of 14 teams. We're not very proud of that but it was all in good fun!

I came home with bruises on my left thigh and shoulder. Tapi sanggup lagi liat Confessions of a Shopaholic di Cornerhouse sama Fathin and Aisyah malam atu.

Okay that's all! Sorry no pictures of the gun because I had to leave my camera behind for battles!

Masa kemarin-kemarin, abg damam.. so aqil's plan to live here cancelled... and masa abg damam ya suruh babu bawa ya ke clinic n suruh babu ikut ya to the doctor's room hahahahahahah manja!!! aqil pulang strong boy masa ya be inject kemarin arah pahanya.. hahahah here's a picture of him from today....

Salam semua
For two days in a row Friday and Saturday, bapa and babu were invited to a CNY makan at ICC. The functions were wonderfully organised with all the tables fully sold. The first night the Chinese community managed to gather some 36k for tabung banjir and tanah susur just within 2 hours. On both functions there were lucky draws but no luck for both bapa and babu. At the second function, babu got a special number which showed babu punya birth month and year 1259 while bapa got 1260 (Jilah, help me to post the pic of ticket babu, pls....) Note the ticket price 300!! Babu thought... eh manang kali ni...... he, he.... but nada jua. The grand draw was an angpow of 888!! while the first night 555!! sob, sob.....

Sunday, early morning babu and bapa went to pantai Serasa to buy some fish and udang. Pantai Serasa is getting more popular now with people from outside Serasa flocked to buy freshly caught fish. We managed to have a big ikan bekalang, kuasi and some perawans.... he, he (English kaawan bapa tu....). Then, antar Jilah tuition while bapa went to the world record satay preparation rehearsal at JPPC and terus to his friend's anak wedding at Rimba. Babu jalan solo-solo killing time until Jilah habis tuition. Babu lepak di Mall ended up buying some dim sums and dough nuts for Jilah, Afan and Faiz. Before that singgah ambil baju ND Afan yang bealter di Kiulap.

Reached home around 12.30.... liat Melodi, tetidur, woke up.... update this blog and after asar bapa wants babu to accompany him to KB because there will be a mass magrib prayer at KB masjid utama in conjuction with the Silver Jubilee National Day celebration tomorrow.......

Till then................ Wassalam.

Hello! Sorry for the lack of updates. I wasn't doing anything interesting and neither did anything interesting happen to me. But today, something interesting happened. Memajal jua interesting things ku ani ah?

Anyway, today we had a three hour break between our first and second lecture, so Ervy and I decided to go to the city to buy sports gear we need for tomorrow. Spent a good 30 minutes going through a huuuuuuge shop to find what we needed. Then we went to McD's for fish fillets and Sitabak for coffee (so that we could stay awake during our afternoon 2-hour lecture). Skali we went to Victoria Centre where I fell under the temptation of buying bargains! Accessorice gloves were selling at 70% off so I had to grab two pairs of 3-pound gloves! And then di Tofshof I saw a 10 pound leather bag that I could wear to uni. I got 10% off that as well using my NUS card. Hoho, bargain!!!

Skali we wanted to go back to uni kan to make it for our 1pm lecture. Ervy and I decided to be adventurous and hopped onto a bus we don't usually use (but today we used it because the bus stop was right outside Vic centre) but thought was going to Uni. Sekali, rupanya the Uni entrance it stopped at was wayyyyyyyyy jauh from where the Law and Social Sciences building is. So we stayed in the bus thinking it would go to our intended stop. Rupanya inda. We actually got to Kampung Lenton! So we thought, that was it, we're going off the bus. Skali jalan punya jalan, nampak tia usul-usul uni. yang familiar. We huffed and puffed for a good 30 minutes (naik bukit yang steep x infinity kali ah) and got to the lecture hall 5 mins early even! Sakit jua badan lah. We could've saved energy and walk for 5 minutes from the bus stop to the law building if we took the correct bus really.

Oh yeah, I needed sports gear because... unlike MMHJ, who celebrates Brunei's National Day by dancing under the sun to show his patriotism, I am going paintballing at Cosford (near Birmingham) tomorrow (Saturday)!!! Yayyy, I cannot wait. It's organised by Bruneians studying in Birmingham. It's actually a tradition. They have been organising this event for 9 years in a row to celebrate Brunei's National Day. Inda plang ku paham how it shows patriotism but I'm joining for the fun of it. So tomorrow morning, I will be going off to Cosford with 30 or so Bruneians from Nottingham by coach. Yippee!!!

To give Bapa and Babu an idea of what paintballing is, nah:

Don't worry, they're not real guns. We're only going to shoot people (and be shot) with encapsulated paint.

Tonight I have to go to Portland Building as we have another meeting (according to) regarding the Easter Games. I'm excited to announce to everyone that I've raised a massive amount of money for the event. Because this morning, I got another email from another organisation who is interested to fund it. Credit also goes to Bapa, of course.

Okay, that is all. Kan masak corned beef ku.

Wednesday.... Came home around 4.30 pm. Kan antar jilah tution but ia mau jalan kul 4 jua. So Afan and Arman antar ia. Babu malas tah jalan lagi and meaning that babu inda lawat nini on wednesday. Afan went to see Aqil while waiting for Jilah... Aqil tidur and then nangis masa salin pyjamas. They reached home at around 7.00 pm and babu fell asleep around 8.30 pm (kengalihan..... loooooong day at the workshop) but babu bangun balik kul 11.30 pm for Isya and continued maniking baju babu, he, he.... (save cost bayar tailor). Bapa was doing his homework for the radio interview on National Day. He kept on asking for the right words and spelling coz he knew that babu was tidur-tidur ayam. Afan was given his ND green baju but XL size is too small for him. Babu have to bawa ke kedai today to make the joints so that it will become XXXL! the kain is not elastic, that is why it is so sandat and katat.

Thursday... today... Afan just fixed the mini flag to the car. Jilah will post the photo of the car with the flag later. Today si our last workshop day and at 2.00 pm later the respective faculties will do their presentation. We had helped our team and it was quite an accomplishing experience to develop part of the new SHBIE curriculum on the new postgraduate programme called Master of Teaching (M Teach). The VC will be there to listen and may be to make comments on the presenations. Tonite will be the little certificate presentation ceremony to be held at De Other Office Cafe in Serusop. Till then.... enjoy the photo below..... showing SHBIE team with the facilitator Prof McCrorie from St Georges, Uni of London.

This shall be my (Kaka) first contribution to Babu Blog (other than changing the template and adding a Cbox) and it's only because I'm so bored at work (even though my In-tray is full) and its 5.45pm while I wait for another 15mins before I can leave and pick up my husband at 6.30pm from Jerudong.

2 days ago I went to visit Aqil to kill time and found him to be sidak-sidak. First time I've ever seen him sidak-sidak as if he's a big child sudah and kena marahi. So kesian, he sidak-sidak for a good 20mins til he fell asleep and even in his sleep masih jua ada bunyi: 'Uhuk Uhuk'. In a way it was kinda cali pulang. Haha.

On the work front, I've heard on the grapevine that my LDP application has been endorsed during a meeting but has yet to be endorsed officially by a senior official. Hope he signs it soon because SPA deadline is March for September intakes. I've also had my telephone interview with Bham during which Bapa was so noisy in the background and Babu had to keep shushing him. Atu pun he said: 'eh bising kan??? inda juaaaaa' haha so typical Bapa. I think the interview went well as the lady did say I was a suitable candidate but could not give me a 'yes' or 'no' as she could only make a recommendation and the Uni makes the final assessment of the application. Also she still had more interviews to do and they only take about 25-30 students a year. Pray and wish me luck for this one.

I'm so iski that I have even done a search for apartments in Bham. I feel so tempted to rent out a luxury 2-bedroom flat with concierge, gym, pool, within the city centre (the name Bullring keeps shouting in my head hahaha). So its either that or a modest flat near the campus and save money. Hmmmm decisions decisions. If save money, I can buy more stuff. ;P

Ok it's 4 minutes to 6pm and its really quiet and eery in the office so I will leave you with a cut-n-paste from our freestyle department group photo.

So, not only are our dishwasher (this went kaput a few months ago), boiler and plumbing (the shower drain is clogged) faulty, the light switch in our bathroom decided to annoy us further. So I connected my study lamp to the power supply just outside the bathroom because I don't want to be putting shower gel in my hair.

Rent saja mahal...

Assalamualaikum semua

Sori for no update yesterday. Here it goes now....

Monday was our second day of the TL workshop. It was fine with a lot of brainstorming sessions. Not only babu could update my knowledge on TL trends and issues but what babu enjoyed most was the active and dynamic interactions between members of my groups who come from different teaching background. There are 6 people in babu's group(SHBIE, IM,FASS,IM,FBEBS, LC and FOS). Sometimes we tend to argue as some matters discussed were very subjective but at the end we almost agreed to the voice of the majority which of course was very rational.

We finished at 4.30 pm and babu hurried home to send Jilah to her Chem tuition. Actually babu planned to visit nini at RIPAS but otw bapa called and asked babu to meet him at JAME while waiting for his National Day team's parade uniform at Aewon in Kiarong. Actually bapa lapar from KB and after collecting the uniform, he took babu to his nostalgic mee rebus spot at KFC (Kianggeh Food Court) but only to find that mee rebus was already nahi and we ended up makan soto. Then, back to JAME for Magrib prayer, fetched Jilah with the Merc loaded with 120 sets of parade uniform and bapa left for home exhausted. So the initial plan to visit nini had to be postponed.

Went home and part of Serasa was black out after an Indon driver had an accident and hit a street lamp post next to our simpang. Kaka, Abg Rinan and Afan decided to have their meal outside but babu had to leave again for the Berzikir class. Huh..... babu pandai udah berzikir and bertausyeh... kalah tah anak-anak babu tu eh... he, he... That was almost the end of Monday.

Today, Tuesday, Day 3 of the TL Workshop.... more stuff on assessment and case studies analysis... The day seemed to be very long though there was always interactions between every exercise that was given by the facilitator. After the workshop, antar Jilah tuition, bapa arrived home quite early but didn't want to join babu as he has already missed alot his HBOs and movie channels for the last few weeks. It was ok as babu was very determined to visit nini. Nini is now placed in an isolation room in Ward 3. He talked a bit but very restless with the nebuliser mask attached to his mouth. Babu read the Yassin as penawar but a funny incident happened when babu salam nini before leaving him.

Babu: Pa.... balik ku pa ah... kan ambil Jilah (and salam nini)
Nini: Arggghhhh...... (Nini kan ampas muka babu while babu cium his hand)
Babu: Napa kita kan ampas aku? marah kita kah?
Nini: Inda ku mayah......
Babu: Atu kita kan ampas aku ah..... baibun kah tu?
Nini: Aw..... baibun, inda ku mayah.....
Babu: he, he.... ok, jalan ku pa ah....

Nini used to be a comedian as far as babu can remember but he changed drastically for the last year, though he has been semi paralysed since 1993, when he was 72. Now nini is 87 and if nini bini is still alive, she should be 86. Nini bini passed away on 18 July 1994 (9 Safar 1416). Nini now become very quiet and sadly with his deteriorating health condition, his jokey talent just faded away. Babu still remember how he made fun of his grandchildren's name. Azzyati as Haji Yati (kau inda payah naik haji, kau udah haji), Faiz as pais, Afan and papan etc, etc...... (Sob, sob....)

Arrived home at about 8.15 pm and found the time to update this blog.... Till then Ijan, enjoy the photo below ... showing our CNY visit but with Afan was not ready yet..... or was it a natural pose? he, he.....

Hello from Dunkirk, Nottingham!

Living in this house for the past few days has been a little frustrating. Our boiler broke on Saturday! So our heaters do not work and I have been burying myself under layers and layers of clothes in the house to keep warm. Also, sleeping in the cold is far from comfortable. Fortunately, Fathin has a portable heater that I borrowed from her today. But the weird thing is that I can't put the heat on too high or else the heat detector in my room goes off. Grr. So it still feels crazily cold. To make matters worse, the only source of hot water is from the shower in the first floor (my floor) bathroom. Washing dishes is beginning to be annoying. Maybe I should bring my plates and mugs into the shower?

Anyway, tomorrow is supposed to be my off day. I said '"supposed" because although I do not have any lectures or tutorials tomorrow, I have to study for a difficult tutorial on Thursday. I think I'm going to the library as well to borrow a book. Additionally, I have to email/call companies that are/will be sponsoring the Easter Games. Stress ku ehhh. But so far, I've managed to get 4500 pounds in my pockets. I need another thousand pounds to meet our target. Siapa inda karit ah?

Bah I'm going to sleep... hopefully. It's freezing!!!

IS

Also known as 'one feeling eye' haha mahal ni. kalah di nottingham. batah udah nda ku naik... isuk tah kalau beusin hehehehhehehe

Hello everybody...

Lawa pulang bed spread mu atu, the longchamp bag and the roses..... but....... bilik mu ah......bejurit.......
Back at home.... babu started the day with the Taici exercise with some Serasa ladies at pantai Serasa, while bapa left home around 6.45 am to attend work obligations at Rizqun and KB. Jilah went to tuition till 12 noon while babu took Afan to see the RTB carnival at ICC. Went to see nini at the hospital and back home. babu tidur till about 6pm (bapa called baru babu tebangun..... ;-) The house was so sunyi coz baby Aqil did not come over like last Sunday as Abang is damam and after Asar, Jilah, Afan, Kaka and Abg Rinan went to the Mall and visit nini at the hospital. Bapa was back around 6.30 pm kelaparan. Bapa tambah nasi 3 kali with lauk rebus..... (he, he....urang kampong aying...). Till now diorang kaka are not back yet. Ok... nanti lagi upload gambar Aqil. babu have a lot in my hp card memory but inda pandai transfer ke PC.... inda IT savvy.........
Till then..... cheers.......

Hello, I am the "real second daugther" reporting all the way from Nottingham, UK.

Last night I went to watch a movie called Notorious at Cornerhouse with Fathin, Aisyah, FN & Alifah because I needed a reward after working so hard on my tutorial the night before. I slept at 2AM to study and woke up at 730AM (or was it 8AM? Antah eh, inda ku ingat) to get ready for a 9AM lecture. Sekali pakai taxi ke university hoho inda pulang jauh tapi aku malas naik bukit. The tutorial was at 10 and it went well. Anyway, back to the movie. Siuk! And then on the way to the taxi stand, we came across the Nottingham Eye, which apparently will be around til Easter time.
Nah gambarnya:

We didn't go on it though because we wanted to wait for Fathin's sister to come over to Nottingham next week. So next week tah kami naik.

And we went back to my house because the girls wanted to sleep over.

Taken after satisfying our cravings for milo shake at 1AM

Here's a random picture of my room, lawa bedspread ku? :D Also, note my pretty red Long Champ! Hoho.
Anyway, today Fathin and I went out to the city. I wanted to exchange LBJ's gladiator sandals for a smaller size at Topshop and also return her jeans because it was too small on me and obviously too small for her too (because she has a bigger tush). Btw, LBJ, I bought the jeans for 20 pounds. Then when I wanted to buy the bigger sized ones, there was a further 50% reduction so jadi 10 pounds saja. So I returned the 20 pound ones and bought the 10 pound ones. Hoho, profit!!!

Lapas atu we went back to my house to make roti john (with minced "meat" made of soya) and ikan salai. Actually it was fried mackerel. It just tasted like ikan salai.

Btw, I received these today!

Hoho, look at my roses. As tall as the washing machine!

Ok, til next time...

Please post more pics of Baby Aqil.

IS

Today, Saturday till Thursday, babu and RMS will be attending a workshop on PBL at the CH. So we will be missing from office and the "fat room". We have to reschedule classes. The good news is that lunch will be served throughout the five days (he, he.. babu kuat makan!). Bapa stayed over at KB and he was still at Labi till 11 pm last night. The past 3 weeks has been a very hectic for bapa. Whenever he comes home, limpang and tarus snoooooriiiing.......

Not much update today..... cheers...........

Abang menyamal pasalnya kami blow all the candles... so ya buat cake ambuyat nya sendiri hahaha. And guess the error arah cake ah hahahaha

Why "Babu Blog"?
It is meant for my five children (AF, MMA,IS, LB and MMH) and expecially for IS as she said that it is now easier for her to keep updated with my daily activities... he, he... trying to monitor babu ah? ok... tu... BTW feel free to update babu's blog. I don't mind sharing my password. I think all the five of you know it.

So, what happened yesterday and today... Yesterday, after work I managed to visit Aqil who had a little fever and then rushed to RIPAS hosp to visit nini kajap. His condition was still the same as before with the help of the oxygen from the machine. Then, rushed to aga LB from her Physics tuition class at Lambak and before that singgah at Masjid Lambak for the Magrib prayer. Bapa stayed overnight at KB for work committment. Since bapa was not home, babu invited LB and MMH to sleep in babu's room, so ended up betiga sekatil... Overslept!! bapa called at 5.55 am this morning to wake us up and within 25 minutes we were ready to go as MMH had to be in school by 7.00 am for the stadium practice.

At work today, I had class and we were talking about cycle of assessment (presentations from different groups)and we also talked about questioning techniques and creating quality questions based on some selected topics.

Had a good but too hot lunch with RMS, ZHT and MK. Thanks MK for the lanja. Feel like minum air as much as possible.

Tonite is a dinner date with all family members at the Airport Restaurant except IS (who is not around) for Kaka, Abang, LB and MHH's belated birthday treat. IS, you had yours udah kan? I have ordered a Tiramisu birthday cake for all the birthday celebrants. Kaka and MMH had theirs jua sudah before. So tonite one will be shared cake between the four.

Ok... till then, cheers....... and in the meantime, have a look at Aqil when he was about two weeks old.

These photos of my first and gorgeous grandson named Aqil are especially pasted for my real second daughter... sorry for the miscalculation..he he (It has been corrected, though.... jangan marah......)
